Marcella Parziale

Vocal Coach & Professor

Marcella Parziale is a distinguished Italian mezzo-soprano, vocal coach, and tenured professor at a major conservatory, as well as the artistic director of the Accademia di Santa Sofia, a prestigious Italian cultural institution with an international presence. She brings decades of classical training and experience in contemporary vocal performance to Sotto Voce Studios NYC. Her unique methodology bridges the gap between traditional Italian vocal technique and modern commercial music, helping artists unlock the full potential and range of their voices.

After completing her musical studies and advanced training with the highest honors, she developed an extensive theatrical and concert career, complemented by over a decade of teaching experience. She brings this rich artistic and pedagogical background to Sotto Voce Studios NYC.

Drawing on a deep knowledge of the Italian school of singing, Marcella's methodology combines the principles of traditional vocal technique with the demands of contemporary commercial music. Her personalized approach — respectful of each performer's individual sensitivity — integrates technical precision, vocal health, musicality, and interpretation, allowing artists across genres, from opera to pop, to develop a free and expressive sound, while discovering and strengthening their own artistic identity. Her students perform at international venues and in major recording studios.
